{CALIFORNIA}

What a blast! This was the best trip ever, minus missing Chubs! It was the most stress free, fun trip. Our kids loved swimming in the pool, coming & going from the Disney parks whenever and having no agenda, I loved that part. :0) Todd and the kids have never been to Disneyland at night, my favorite time. One day we went back at 8 pm and stayed until closing, 11 pm. We walked right on several rides. We rode 9 rides in 3 hours! We rode Splash Mountain twice and didn't even have to get off. I love the memories we made with Tyson and Baylie. This past year there has been so much focus and attention on Crew that it was nice to be with just them. We all missed him, but there were some real benefits to not having a baby there. :0)
We loved celebrating Tyson's 8th bday there as well. You get into to the Disney parks for free on your bday. Because we had purchased a pass, buy 3 days get 2 free, he got a gift card to spend at the stores for $59!!!!! How sweet is that?!
Baylie was tall enough to ride almost all the rides. She was hilarious! The bigger, the faster, the better. She would keep her arms up the entire time. I don't know how she stayed in her seat sometimes. She is my kind of girl.
We stayed right across the street from the Disney parks and that was awesome. So nice to just walk over. We loved our hotel, the kids LOVED the pool. They swam twice almost every day. Talk about little fish.
Thanks to my cute little family for a wonderful trip! Thanks again Carrie for watching our sweet Chubba man.

{Tys with his double light saber. It was so cool, he got to build it from scratch. I don't know who enjoyed it more, Tys or Todd.}

{Use those muscles buddy!}

{We saw some other characters, but the kids didn't really want to wait in line for them. Good thing because Todd & I didn't either. }

{Our cute little fish}

{Tyson is thrilled that I was making him take another picture. LOL!}

{Baylie LOveD the castle. She is our little princess.}

{The famous Disney entrance picture}

{On Tyson's bday we got to CA Adventure a little early. Here we are killing time taking pics.}

{Aren't these the cutest Mickey ears ever? They must be new because a lot of employees commented that they had never seen them before. We got our monies worth on these ears, she wore them everyday. Cutie!}

{Killing time....Bay doing what she loves, posing!}

{Baptism}

Tyson was baptized and confirmed on June 6, 2009. It was an emotional day for me. It is such a huge mile stone in his life and there is so much meaning and significance with this special day. This was a decision that Tyson made on his own and we are so proud of him. I have been impressed with how mature he has been about it. In so many ways he seems older and it seemed to happen overnight. Don't get me wrong, he is still an {8} year old boy that loves to have fun and do what boys do, but he's 'different'. The difference is noticeable and I have had several people make comments to me. The difference is good. I've loved the talks that we've had lately. I love seeing his mind work. He seems to be thinking about so much about where he is in his life. I hope and pray that he will continue to grow in this area of his life. I love that he wants to be an example. One of the big things I want to teach my children is to live a life of acceptance, living by example, always trying to improve and become a better person. I want them to know there are many different people in the world and we are no better then anyone. We all make different choices in our lives and I believe we can all learn from each other.
I want Tyson to know how important he is to us! We love him so much and are so grateful to have him be a part of our family. We are so proud of him, so grateful that we could be a part of his special day. We love you Tys!
*Thanks to my wonderful brother, Kirk, for taking these photos of Tyson and our family! We are grateful for you.

{TYS}

He's 8! I still can't believe that I have an 8 year old. He is one incredible boy and I feel so blessed to be his mom. We had so much fun celebrating his 8th birthday....a trip to CA! On his actual birthday we spent the day at CA Adventure and the evening at an Angel's game. It was so much fun. *Thanks Carrie for watching Crew for us*

*We really didn't buy this hat, but thought it would make a good bday picture. At Disneyland/CA Adventure they give you a pin to wear that says "Happy Birthday....." All the workers would wish Tys a happy bday. The part that threw him was how many complete stangers would wish him a happy bday. He really didn't know what to think about that. He is not the type of kid that likes to be the center of attention.
Things about Tys at the age of {8} and things we {love} about him....
*He LOVES sports and is an amazingly talented athlete.
-his baseball team finished 1st in their division and is going to the playoffs!
-he also made the Kaysville All Star baseball team!
*He loves the Utah Jazz, the Angels and the Dodgers.
*He has really excelled at school this year and loves to read.
*He has a very tender heart and genuinely cares about people.
*He is an awesome big brother to Baylie and Crew.
*He loves Star Wars, Legos, and building anything.
*His best friends are Dakari and Cole.
*His favorite color is red.
*He is not a picky eater and makes me feel like an amazing chef, which I'm not!
*He loves being active playing with friends and cousins.
*He is one funny kid and is so quick to come up with things, gets that from his dad.
We love you buddy!
